23 for Carifta 2023 in Bahamas 

A 23-member team has been selected by the Athletics Association of Barbados (AAB) to represent Barbados at the 50th CARIFTA Games in Nassau, Bahamas next month from April 8 to 10, 2023.

Leading the Girls will be Layla Haynes who is based overseas and recently announced on her social media that she will be continuing her academic and athletic career at the University of Florida. 

Haynes was previously at IMG and will be looking to improve on her silver and bronze in the Under-20 girls 800 and 1500 metres from the last Carifta Games. 

Gold medalist from the last Carifta Games Fyn Armstrong will be returning. He won his gold medal in the Under-17 3000m and this year he will be competing in the Under-20 Boys. 

There will be 16 athletes making their debut at the Carifta Games.
