Flow partners with Hydrate Caribbean to put 5G+-branded water station in The City
Flow Barbados has partnered with Hydrate Caribbean to provide a branded public drinking water station at the Constitution River Terminal in the heart of Bridgetown, further strengthening its commitment to healthier communities and a cleaner environment.
The official reveal of the station, which took place on Wednesday, brought together representatives from Flow, Hydrate Caribbean and the Barbados Transport Authority. The Constitution River Terminal is a key transit area where thousands commute daily, serving students, workers and members of the public conducting business.
The water station, prominently branded in Flow’s 5G+ artwork, reflects the company’s continued investment in Bridgetown, where its 5G+ network is available throughout The City.
Damian Mascoll, Marketing Manager at Flow Barbados, said the initiative aligns with the company’s vision of bringing the brand closer to the people it serves.
“Today marks the unveiling of our newly branded water station here at the Constitution River Terminal in the capital. With Flow 5G+ available throughout Bridgetown, we are not only strengthening connectivity but also deepening our connection with the community.
“Many of us rely on public transportation every day, and we understand how important it is to stay hydrated, particularly in our climate. Access to clean, fresh water is essential to maintaining good health, and we saw this as the perfect opportunity to support a meaningful initiative that benefits thousands of Barbadians daily. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Hydrate Caribbean as we make a positive impact in the communities we serve,” he said.
Sheridan Greaves, Project Leader at Hydrate Caribbean, welcomed Flow’s sponsorship of the station, noting its significant usage and environmental impact.
“We are delighted to officially launch the Flow-branded station here at the Constitution River Terminal. While the station has been serving commuters for some time, Flow’s sponsorship underscores its commitment to giving back to the Barbadian public.
“This has been one of our most frequently used stations, and across our network last year, we recorded over one million bottle fills. Partnerships like this not only reduce single-use plastic waste but also promote healthier habits by encouraging people to drink more water. We sincerely thank Flow for coming on board and supporting this important work,” he added.
Ann Greenidge of the Barbados Transport Authority highlighted the direct benefit to commuters.
“This water station is a valuable addition to the terminal. Students, workers and other commuters who pass through daily, now have convenient access to water when they need it. It is a practical and appreciated resource for everyone who uses the facility.”
The initiative forms part of Flow’s broader corporate social responsibility efforts, focusing on health, sustainability and community engagement. By combining connectivity through 5G+ technology with tangible community support, Flow continues to reinforce its role as a partner in national development. (PR)
