Weymouth Wales and Kickstart Rush will clash in the final of the Prime Minister Cup.

  Playing in the semifinals of Barbados’ most lucrative football tournament at Friendship on Monday night, Kickstart Rush, a semifinalist in last year’s tournament needed extra time to defeat Wotton 2-1 in the opening match of the doubleheader. 

While Wales continued their quest to win all the major football titles on the island in 2025, by brushing aside Paradise 4-0. 

Diquan Adamson booted home the winning goal for Paradise during extra time, after Nicholas Best scored the first goal in the 29th minute after Jabarri Chandler scored for Wotton in the 72nd minute. 

In the nightcap game between Weymouth Wales and Paradise, Ackeel Applewhaite got Wales off to a flying start with a goal 22 minutes after the game started; and Kemar Headley scored the second goal in the 63rd minute, three minutes later Rashad Jules scored the third goal for the Carrington Village based club, and an own goal by Akeem Chandler in the 83rd minute competed a night of misery for Paradise. 

The two teams will be vying for a first prize of $100,000 when the final of the tournament takes place at Kensington Oval on December 1st
