British F4 Champ and BIM Sports Personality of the Year Zane Maloney for Sol RB22

Barbadian FIA F3 driver Zane Maloney will be one of the key crews in the Sol Rally Barbados.

Maloney who was the 2019 National Sports Council’s (NSC) Sports Personality of the Year after he impressively captured the title in the British F4 during his rookie year will be at the helm of a Skoda Fabia.

Sol Rally Barbados 2022 is slated for June 4 -5, with King of the Hill set for Sunday (May 29) sponsored for the first time by First Citizens.

The R5 category has been growing with a new championship this year sponsored by First Citizens and there are 60 points available.

Maloney will not be a stranger to the Fabia R5 owned by his uncle Stuart as he took the wheel in March during a break from his FIA F3 campaign with Trident Motorsport. The 18-year-old is the only driver this year to have beaten the older Maloney, current leader of the R5 Rally Championship in his newer Fabia Rally2 evo. There will be a battle in the family as the Maloney Racing team has tree entries in the R5 Class. Zane Maloney, and his uncles Mark and Stuart Maloney.

Along with this battle there will be two brothers Kreigg and Kristian Yearwood, co-driving for Zane and Stuart respectively in the co-driver seats as well.
