Co-Operative Entrepreneurial Fair On February 7
Several co-operatives will showcase their innovative products, goods, and services during the Co-operative Entrepreneurial Fair on Saturday, February 7, at Church Village Green, Central Bank of Barbados, Spry Street, Bridgetown.
Hosted by the Co-operatives Department of the Ministry of Energy and Business, it will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The fair will bring together a vibrant mix of co-operatives, including Women Entrepreneurs, Ujamaa, Emerging Brands, and the Pig Farmers’ Co-operative. Patrons will have an opportunity to purchase a wide variety of items, including custom-made bags, agricultural produce, plants, clothing, arts and crafts, jewellery, locally made confectionery, women’s accessories, and prescription spectacles.
Additionally, members of the beekeeping community will be on hand to provide information about bee behaviour and beekeeping practices, while displaying a selection of products.
Complimentary blood pressure testing and screening will be provided by the Diabetes and Hypertension Association of Barbados.
There will also be pork samples prepared by Dr. Phil’s Kitchen, compliments of the Pig Farmers’ Co-operative, and Pinnacle Co-operative will offer vegetarian food samples. Food and drinks will be on sale. Co-op DJ Sweet Tunes Entertainment and steel pan artiste Elan Marie Jordan, of ELANJAY, will entertain visitors during the day.
