CROP OVER SEASON CULMINATES
With events for all ages was safe and incident free
Grand Kadooment marks the end of Crop Over in Barbados and boy what a season it was. Events were wide ranging, beginning with the sweet limes, calypso tents, breakfast parties, cruises, shows by entertainers, pool parties and the list goes on.
The finale takes place tonight, Tuesday June 5th with Soca 25 at the Botanical Gardens where all of the soca tunes for 2025 will be performed on the big stage.
Yesterday was the parade of the bands along the streets from the helipad in Bridgetown, along President Kennedy Drive, Eagle Hall, Black Rock culmination on the Might Grynner Highway.
With only 19 bands being judged, Betty West copped the top prize with Journey of Excellence, also winning best band on the road and best presentation – Heritage.
