Enough with the promises its time for a National Stadium

It is high time that all the promises are kept.

“It is too long a coming is too long in coming. Don’t tell me we are going to get a stadium every single year and every single year. We have to provide tarps for children to sit on. When in fact it time that we get a National Stadium.”

These were the impassioned sentiments of Ivan Clarke president of the Association of the Public Primary Schools Principals during the launch of the National Primary Schools Athletic Championships.

“Politicians are the promise and they’re also to deliver. And I’m not talking BLP or DLP It was long incoming.”

“It is time that our young athletes be rewarded. So that they can be running on a good track so that they can be enjoining good facilities. How you see the Olympics and athletes and  inside their rooms and have every single thing. The young athlete, I’m sitting in that National Stadium or Usain Bolt, we’re sitting in grass.

“I’m not blaming the Napsac committee. You did your best trust me you did your best, but it’s past you itis way above your paygrade and now that government and all the private sector supply the children of Barbados with a proper stadium.

“It is too long. Stop making excuses.”
