The Barbados Meterological office having earlier issued a flash flood watch for the island has just upgraded the flash-flood watch to a FLASH-FLOOD WARNING for Central Districts, while a flash-flood watch remains in effect for the remainder of the island and is in effect from 10:15 AM today Tuesday 27th September 2022, it will be UPDATED at 12 NOON or sooner.
A flash-flood warning is issued when rapid flooding due to heavy or excessive rainfall in a short period of time (generally less than 6 hours) is occurring or is imminent in the warning area.
