Maloney seizes pole
Zane Maloney exuded confidence and launched himself into the fight for the title as the Trident rookie brought home his second victory of the season and set the stage for a seven-driver shoot-out to be crowned the 2022 Formula 3 Champion in Monza.
After Maloney lost the lead to Martins on the opening lap and stayed on the ART Grand Prix driver’s tail following the first Safety Car restart, he took a leaf out of the Alpine Academy junior’s book and recreated his move to dive back into the front of the field on Lap 12.
