The finals of the One Love! Out-of-Season Football Tournament will come off next week, at the Barbados Lumber Company Playing Field, Waterford, St. Michael.
Two teams, Gaza and Blue Hill Ballers, will contest the finals on Sunday, January 14, at 8:00 p.m. However, the match will be preceded by the play off for third place between C9 Ballers and Get Money, at 6:00 p.m.
The Community Football Tournament, which was started in November 2023, gave footballers across the island the opportunity to showcase their skills. Twenty teams registered for the competition, which was previously scheduled to climax on December 28, but due to weather conditions, had to be extended.
Facilitated by the National Peace Program, it was held under the patronage of Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley, with the key aim of allowing footballers to strengthen their interactions and friendships, while assisting in the development of the sport.
Members of the public are encouraged to attend the upcoming finals. (PR/GIS)
