– DAILY EVENTS UNTIL THE FUNERAL
On Tuesday September 13th, the Queen’s coffin will be moved from St Giles’ Cathedral to Edinburgh airport, and then by plane to RAF Northolt. The Princess Royal, Princess Anne, will accompany her.
The coffin is will arrive in London shortly and will then travel to Buckingham Palace, where it will be met by the King and Camilla.
Wednesday September 14th the Queen’s coffin will travel from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall shortly where it will lie in state for four days.
Thursday September 15th The first first of four full days that the Queen’s body will lie in state in Westminster Hall, where she will remain until the morning of the funeral.
Friday & Saturday September 16th & 17th the second and third third full day in of the Queen’s coffin lying in state in Westminster Hall.
Sunday September 18th The queen’s coffin will lie in state for the final day at Westminster Hall. A one minute silence will be held across the UK Sunday evening. People can mark the silence privately in their own homes, on the street with neighbours or at community events and vigils.
