Rock-It

Attention! To all those who crave Rock and Alternative music, starve no more. The band Rock-It 27 is here and will satisfy your thirst for this genre of music that is seldom available on the local music circuit.  

This four-man unit has been doing a few gigs over the past four years and like all other bands they lost over two years to the pandemic. The ‘down’ period of the pandemic was not wasted as it allowed the band time to re-energize and chart a path to bring their music to the Barbadian public.  

Rock-It 27 with Bobby Havoc on guitar, Corey Applewaite on drums, Fabian “Mallet” Bishop on bass and Alex Cummins on vocals delivers a repertoire of iconic rock and alternative hits which result in sing-along sessions with their captive audience. 

The leader of the band Fabian said that he was pleased with the tremendous response to the band. He was a little concerned that the local scene is calypso and reggae, but he discovered that there is a large following of the band’s type of music. He remarked “lots of Bajans like Rock and Alternative music but unfortunately few local bands provide such music,” adding that “Rock-It 27 will fill that void”.
