Sandals Barbados is once again the proud sponsor of the Christ Church Girls Primary School Track and Field team, who will be competing in the 2025 National Primary Schools’ Athletic Championship (NAPSAC).
Last year, the all-girls school, which has a long association with the luxury included resort finished second overall in the finals of the event. This year, there is renewed optimism that the young athletes will go all the way.
“Christ Church Girls’ School is extremely grateful to Sandals Barbados for their continued support of the sports program which has resulted in some eye-catching sports kits for the track and netball athletes.
“The school continues to develop well-rounded students with the help of partners like Sandals and we are optimistic about our chances for NAPSAC 2025, despite the loss of some great talent from last year who have since transitioned to various secondary schools.
“Thank you to Sandals and its caring team for playing their part in providing the support that will continue to go a long way in ensuring The Sandals CCG Green Machines and the students overall at CCG build strong legacies,” said Principal, Ms. Orlaine Benn.
Sandals this year provided the Christ Church Girls ‘Green Machine’ with full track suits and training equipment to assist the squad.
“We are proud to be associated with this school which has a rich history of performing well at sporting events and plays an important role in our community. Also we have several parents who work at the hotel with children at the school so we are supportive of their activities, said Hotel Manager Nicholas Jordan.
The school will be competing in the James Wedderburn Zone and face the likes of St. Giles Primary, Ignatius Byer Primary, St. Matthew’s Primary, St. Lucy Primary, People’s Cathedral School, St. Stephen’s Primary, St. Luke’s Academy, St. Christopher Primary, St. Ambrose Primary and Roland Edwards Primary.
