Sandals Resorts International first made its mark in Barbados in 2015 with the opening of Sandals Barbados, later expanding with the addition of Sandals Royal Barbados. Now, in an exciting new chapter for the industry, Minister Gooding-Edghill announced the groundbreaking of the state-of-the-art Sandals Beaches Resort on the West Coast. Expected to generate approximately 3,500 jobs, this landmark development at the former Heywoods/Almond Resort site is the largest private investment in Barbados’ history.
