SOCA GOES GOLD CHARITY SHOW RETURNS SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 22 WITH TOP LOCAL AND REGIONAL ACTS
ONE OF Barbados’ most anticipated charity events, Soca Goes Gold, is set to return for its seventh edition on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at the CARIFESTA House, Waterford, St. Michael featuring some of the top performers in the region.
The staging of this year’s show promises an unforgettable night of the best in Soca music – past and present, in support of the Eden Lodge Youth Charitable Trust’s annual Give Back Programme.
Dwayne Grazette, President and Chief Executive Officer of the charity explained that the 2025 COB Credit Union Soca Goes Gold 7: Battle of the Bands will feature Trinidad’s Destra Gracia and the Bakanal Band as well as Neil ‘Iwer’ George; along with Bajan stars including Edwin Yearwood & Krosfyah, Alison Hinds, Anderson ‘Blood’ Armstrong & Square One, the D Unit Band, Lil Rick, Lead Pipe & Saddis, Damien Marvay and Peter Ram.
He said: “We have a dynamic line-up of artistes set to hit the stage on November 22 – four of the top local and regional Soca bands along with over a dozen artistes. I can assure Barbadians that Soca Goes Gold 7 will continue its tradition of delivering top-tier entertainment – truly the best of the best.”
Grazette explained that, as in previous years, all proceeds from this year’s Soca Goes Gold 7 will go directly towards the Eden Lodge Youth Charitable Trust’s Christmas Give Back Programme, which provides critical assistance to families in need across Barbados.
“This year’s show is again being hosted in association with the Sandy Lane Charitable Trust and a number of other partners and donors and I want to sincerely thank all of them and anyone who has supported our event in any way this year and in the past. Their contributions have made a meaningful difference.
“With their support and that of the patrons of last year’s event, we were able to raise over Bds$50,000 after expenses, all of which funded our annual Christmas Give Back Programme and provided food hampers, essential supplies and toys for over 650 families and, in each case, assisted with the payment of utility bills and the like.
“We are hoping to exceed that amount and reach even more families this year, as the demand for assistance is growing annually. Soca Goes Gold is more than a show – it is a display of generosity and community and we are honoured to be able to bring an incredible cast of artistes and supporters together to make a difference. Every ticket sold brings us closer to our target in 2025.” (PR)
