ST LUCIA KINGS WIN OVER TRIBAGO KNIGHT RIDERS -SECOND ON TABLE

Johnson Charles raises his bat as he celebrates another half century

The St. Lucia Kings completed three win on the trot with a one-run thriller over the Trinbago Knight Riders.

The Knight Riders won the toss and sent the Kings to bat but the recently selected for the West Indies World Cup team Johnson Charles made them regret that decision.

Charles scored 54 runs but appeared to have picked up a hamstring injury which will be worrying to the regional squad.

Adding to the onslaught was  David Wiese with 33 runs off 14 balls which gave to home team 148 to win

The Knight lost three early wickets inside the PowerPlay as they slumped to 16/3 off 3.3 overs thanks to Roston Chase who picked up the wickets of  Leonardo Julien, Colin Munro and Nicholas Pooran.

The Kings move into second place after that victory with 8 points, thanks to 4 wins and 4 losses, while the Knight Riders slip from second to fourth with seven points from their eight matches.

The tournament heads to Guyana where the playoffs spots are still up for grabs.
