SUCCESSFUL BAR/AMARONE CHARITABLE TRUST 5K TRAIL MIX
The BAR/Amarone Charitable Trust 5K Trail Mix took place on Saturday September 24th at Peg Farm and Nature Reserve.
Over 120 athletes and fitness enthusiasts competed over the 5K course.
When it was all done Fynn Armstrong emerged victorious in the Mens division while Carlie Pipe repeated as the winner in the womens race.
This year, Race Director, George Griffith added a new event in the form of a 4×1.25 mixed relay.
The format was similar to a 4x400m relay that you’d see on a track. Except that the 400m legs were replaced by 1.25km legs!
Extreme Velocity Management won the first ever Amarone Mixed Relay.
‘All in all, I think we had an excellent event,’ Griffith said. ‘All the volunteers and young race assistants really came out and made sure everything ran smoothly.’
‘We intend to continue with this event for many years.’
Barbados Adventure Race will take place on December 3/4 2022.
