THE SCOTS WIN

Scotland are on the of the table after defeating Namibia by five wickets in their Group match at Kensington Oval on Thursday evening. 

Set a target of 156 to win the match, the Scotsmen were wobbling at 67 for three wickets in the tenth over but their captain Richard Berrington guided them to victory with an unbeaten innings of 47 not out, he faced 35 balls and struck two fours and two sixes. 

Berrington and Man of the Match Michael Leask (35) skillfully compiled a partnership of 74 runs that ensured Scotland won the match; opener Michael Jones 26 and Brandon McMullen got 19. 

 Namibia’s captain and off spinning allrounder Gerhard Erasmus the most successful bowler with two wickets for 29 runs. 

Earlier Namibians were restricted to 155 for nine wickets, Erasmus top scored with 52, and Zane Green got 25. Medium pacer Brad Wheat took three expensive wickets for 33 runs and left-arm seamer Ben Currie had impressive figures of four overs, 16 runs, two wickets.
