We recognise the pivotal impact communities have had in shaping the HIV response, as well as global health at large, The theme of World AIDS Day 2023 is ‘Let communities lead’. Division, disparity and disregard for human rights are among the failures that allowed HIV to become and remain a global health crisis, therefore on December 1st it is important to continue the messaging so that we are all reminded that the fight continues.
