Trinidad and Tobago has unveiled its new coat of arms

The new image was displayed in a newspaper ad on Sunday.

It features an image of the country’s national instrument, the steelpan, with two pan sticks.

The new design replaces the three ships of Christopher Columbus.

The redesign was facilitated by the National Emblems of Trinidad and Tobago (Regulation) (Amendment) Bill of 2025.

The House of Representatives unanimously passed the Bill on January 13.

It will now proceed to be debated in the Upper House.
