We Gatherin’ 2025 Honours List – St. Philip
Her Excellency The Most Honourable Dame Sandra Prunella Mason, Freedom of Barbados, Dame Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Dame of St. Andrew, Senior Counsel, Doctor of Laws, President of Barbados, has consented to the announcement of National Honours on the occasion of the We Gatherin’ 2025 National Celebrations.

Pride of Barbados
‘A person who is a citizen of Barbados or is entitled to be registered as a citizen of Barbados; or is a permanent resident of Barbados and through sacrifice, diligence and dedication to service has made an outstanding contribution to community life in a parish in Barbados or to the improvement of economic and social conditions in a parish in Barbados.’

- Mr. Sylvester Trevor Alleyne
For his unswerving commitment to the care and support of disadvantaged youth and the elderly in St. Philip. As founder of the St. Philip Junior Cricket Programme and community organiser, for his outstanding contributions in sport, education, social outreach and philanthropy, ranging from the provision of scholarships to food hampers. His tireless efforts have transformed lives, created opportunities and strengthened parish pride.
- Mr. Glenville Anthony Blades
For his integrity and tireless service dedicated to uplifting his community through decades of mentorship, sustainable agriculture, and inclusive social and economic development, and for his unwavering commitment to empowering youth, transforming local farming and strengthening food security.
- Ms. Shelley Juliette Blades, J.P.
For over 38 years of selfless public service and more than three decades of leadership and tireless community engagement in St. Philip, championed by her volunteerism, support for the Anglican church, commitment to youth development, and care for the vulnerable.
- Mr. David Gilliam Forde
A true champion of people, purpose, and parish, for his selfless service; grassroots leadership; unwavering commitment to maintaining public spaces; combating food insecurity and decades of volunteerism, locally and abroad, which resulted in advancing his community; empowering youth; supporting the vulnerable; and promoting social justice.
- Mr. Winfield DaCosta Forde
A dedicated educator and coach, for his transformation of youth sport in St. Philip through 25 years of excellence in Physical Education. For his devotion to mentorship in athletics and cricket that has nurtured national and international talent, his commitment to fostering discipline, pride, and opportunity for countless students and enriching social and community life in the parish.

For his unwavering dedication to the parish of St. Philip. Through environmental advocacy, youth mentorship, sports development, volunteerism and tireless community engagement, he has uplifted many lives and fostered unity. A true servant-leader and believer in second chances, his excellent work in the rehabilitation of deviant youth is inspirational.

“Vali” as he is affectionately known, is a proud and humble son of St. Martins, St. Philip and is honoured for decades of steady self-sacrificing service to national security, corporate leadership, and philanthropy. From fearless detective to youth mentor to advocate for the elderly to nation builder, his unswerving commitment to improving the lives of those in his community is commendable.

As a Lay Reader, Justice of the Peace, and educator, his legacy reflects years of selfless service. For her unwavering patriotism, philanthropy, exceptional contributions to community development and her selfless dedication of over 30 years to enriching St. Philip through culinary education, cultural preservation, and youth empowerment. As a passionate community leader, foodie and creative, she has nurtured local skills and talent, inspired entrepreneurship, and preserved the best of Barbadian culinary traditions.
- Ms. Audrey Erlinthia Inniss
For over 30 years of faithful service and unwavering dedication to the development of her parish. A devoted Girl Guides leader and District Commissioner, she has positively shaped the lives of generations of girls. Through the District Emergency Organisation, youth camps, and St. John Ambulance Brigade, she continues to embrace diversity and advocate for better lives for all.
- Mr. Algernon O’Brien Jones
As founder of Eastern United Football Club, he has transformed many lives in St. Philip through decades of service and philanthropy. As a coach and community pillar, he empowers youth through football, education, and personal support. His resolute dedication to providing school essentials, transportation, job referrals, and mentorship has uplifted countless families and strengthened the social fabric of the parish.

She is being honoured for her exemplary service to education, civic life, disaster management and community resilience in St. Philip. A lifelong educator, cultural advocate, and volunteer leader, she has empowered generations through significant contributions to mentorship, youth development, women’s ministry and humanitarian outreach.

He is a true Philippine, born and raised, and has lived in the parish for his entire life. For his outstanding contributions to fostering community spirit through over two decades of leadership, philanthropy, and committed service. From emergency preparedness to youth development, sports sponsorship, to support for the vulnerable, his unwavering dedication has contributed to the socio-economic advancement of many and to strengthened parish ties.
- Ms. Maria Dalhita Mayers, J.P.
For over three decades, Ms. Maria Mayers has championed youth development, disaster preparedness, and civic pride in St. Philip. She is honoured for her dynamic leadership and outstanding work with the Girl Guides, National Summer Camps, Parish Independence Committee, and District Emergency Organisation, as well as for her enduring commitment to nation-building and profound positive influence on community spirit in the parish.

For decades of yeoman service in education, sport, and community development. As a pioneering umpire, dedicated teacher, youth mentor, and civic leader; and for her invaluable contributions to people enfranchisement. Ms. Stoute is lauded for her dependable business practices, job creation and significant contributions to community tourism.

A stalwart, gifted and visionary organiser and journalist, his exemplary service in the areas of cricket, football, education, and the arts has inspired generations and strengthened parish identity. For his transformative impact on community life in St. Philip through pioneering sports initiatives, youth leadership, and cultural engagement that has left a legacy of unity and excellence.

Hailing from the proud communities of Kirtons, Rices, and Foul Bay, areas rich in tradition, resilience, and community spirit, he is recognised for his sacrifice and dedicated service to generational mentoring through sport, faith, and community leadership. Founder of the JA Cricket Academy, builder of road tennis courts, lifelong volunteer, and for his selfless investment of his time and resources to improve the lives of others.
- Mr. Nigel Ethelbert Weekes, J.P.
For outstanding community service, selfless philanthropy and unwavering support for the needy and vulnerable in his community in St. Philip. From securing school supplies for children to delivering food hampers and daily maintenance for families in need, his quiet compassion uplifts all around him. Even in personal hardship, he remains a pillar of care. His positive impact is lasting, his heart unmatched.

- Mrs. Jacqueline Cecilia Conliffe
As a long-time benefactor of the St. Philip District Hospital, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Reynold Weekes Primary and St. Martin’s Mangrove Primary School, and for three decades of sustained service devoted to improving health care and education in St. Philip. Through her unwavering generosity to hospitals and schools, she has improved the lives of the indigent and empowered marginalised young people. Her quiet leadership, humility, and civic-minded service have improved the quality of life for many in her parish.
- Mr. Hashim Akil Estwick
Hashim Estwick, a law enforcement officer, community organiser and founder of the Cottage Vale Community Group, is recognised for his servant leadership, advocacy, philanthropy, youth support, and grassroots mobilisation to improve St. Philip communities. He is honoured for his significant contributions in infrastructure, education, and social programmes that reflect a deep commitment to social justice, empowerment, and unity.
- Mr. Selwyn Errol Holder
For his philanthropy and selfless support of the St. Philip Primary School and the less fortunate in communities in St. Philip for over 15 years. From funding meals and school supplies for every child in the school to establishing a computer centre and donating $50,000 for school projects, his enduring generosity continues to transform lives and uplift the parish.
