We Gatherin’ Entrepreneurial Fair Now November 15
The Co-operative We Gatherin’ Entrepreneurial Fair will now take place on Saturday, November 15, at Church Village Green, Central Bank, St. Michael.
It was originally scheduled for November 1, but was postponed in order to accommodate the funeral service of an employee of the Central Bank.
The fair, which will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., is being hosted by the Ministry of Energy and Business, in association with the St. Michael We Gatherin’ Committee.
Registrar of the Co-operatives Department, Brent Gittens, is encouraging members of the public to attend the educational fair, as it will give individuals, including business people, an opportunity to quickly find and receive any support they need from the Ministry of Energy and Business.
Those departments of the Ministry participating in the activity include the Co-operatives Department, the National Financial Literacy Programme, the Small Business Unit, Business Barbados, and the Small Business Association.
Additionally, co-operatives, such as Women Entrepreneurs, Ujamaa, Emerging Brands, Pig Farmers, Pinnacle, and Organic Growers, will showcase their products, goods and services.
Some of the items on sale will be custom-made bags, agricultural produce, plants, clothing, art and craft items, various types of jewellery, prescription spectacles, and food and drinks.
There will also be complimentary blood pressure testing and screening by the Diabetes and Hypertension Association of Barbados and pork and vegetarian sampling. (PR/GIS)
