CANDIDATES FOR THE CONSTITUENCIES OF ST PETER AND ST JAMES NORTH
The Barbados Labour Party candidate for the constituency of St. Peter is the incumbent Colin Jordan and the Democratic Labour Party’s candidate is Jason Phillips a first time candidate. There is no candidate for the Friends of Democracy to contest the constituency of St. Peter.
For the constituency of St James North the candidates are, the incumbent Chad Blackman on behalf of the Barbados Labour Party, Charles Worrell of the Democratic Labour Party and Stephanie Williams of the Friends of Democracy who is a firs time candidate.
ABOUT THE CANDIDATES
ST. PETER
Colin Jordan was first elected in 2018 an has held the portfolio of Minister with responsibility for Labour, Social Security, Social Partnership, Religious Affairs and the Third Sector.
Jason Phillips
Jason Phillips is an attorney at law, trained graduate teacher with more that two decades of service in education and public life. He has served for 26 years as a teacher across primary secondary and special needs education.
ST JAMES NORTH
Chad Blackman is an attorney-at-law, international development professional and public servant wither two decades of experience working in the areas of global governance and policy formulation. He was the former ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva, Vienna and Rome and was Ambassador to Switzerland, Austria, Hungary and Serbia. He currently holds the post of Minister if Educational Transformation previously serving in the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Investment.
Charles Worrell, a community advocate who represented the constituency of St James North in the 2022 elections.
Stephanie Williams
Steffanie Williams is a community leader and youth advocate with extensive experience in parent-teacher associations, child development, and charitable initiatives. She is committed to community development and being a voice for the voiceless.
