BDF’S 46th Anniversary Church Service And Parade

The Barbados Defence Force (BDF) will host a parade followed by a church service in recognition of its 46^th Anniversary.

The annual observance, which honours the BDF’s enduring commitment to national service, unity, and excellence, takes place on Sunday, August 10, at St. Matthias Anglican Church, Hastings, Christ Church, from 10:30 a.m.

Acting President of Barbados, The Very Reverend Dr. Jeffrey Gibson, will take the salute, while Chief of Staff, Brigadier Carlos Lovell, will deliver an address. Other dignitaries are also expected to attend the special event. 

The parade will comprise detachments from the Barbados Regiment, the Barbados Coast Guard and the Barbados Cadet Corps, who will march from St. Ann’s Fort to St. Matthias for the start of the service. (PR/GIS)
