Flow remains committed to Oistins Fish Festival

Leading telecommunications provider Flow has reaffirmed its commitment to Barbadian culture and community, returning as title sponsor of the Flow Oistins Fish Festival – one of the island’s most cherished heritage celebrations.

For decades, Flow has partnered with the festival, supporting efforts to preserve the traditions and vibrant spirit of the historic fishing community of Oistins.

The announcement was made during the official media launch held last Friday at the Oistins Bay Garden, where organisers, government officials and sponsors gathered to outline plans for the Easter weekend event.

Toni Yarde, Senior Manager, Communications at Flow, said the company remains proud to support a festival that celebrates an important part of Barbados’ national heritage.

“We are proud to serve as title sponsor of this iconic Bajan festival once again. For generations, the Flow Oistins Fish Festival has paid tribute to Barbados’ fishing heritage and the hardworking fisherfolk whose dedication helped shape Oistins. The festival is a celebration of identity, resilience and the traditions that connect Barbadians,” she said.

Flow will once again maintain a strong presence throughout the festival, engaging patrons with interactive experiences, promotions, games, and giveaways.

Co-chair of the Oistins Fish Festival Committee, Nikita Gibson, expressed appreciation for the company’s continued partnership.

“We extend our heartfelt thanks to our title sponsor, Flow, whose longstanding commitment helps ensure the festival remains vibrant and accessible to the community,” she said.

Shantal Munro-Knight Member of Parliament for Christ Church South also commended the company’s support.

“For Flow to have been the partner that has walked with this festival for so many years speaks to a genuine commitment to building community and supporting national development. They have consistently been a strong partner,” she said.
