C-Suite Challenge Competition Launched

The newly launched C-Suite Challenge Competition has been designed to support early-stage businesses in Barbados through mentorship, financing opportunities, compliance guidance, and direct access to experienced business leaders.

Business Development Officer at the Barbados Trust Fund Limited (BTFL), Niesha Holder, speaking at the recent launch of the WeBiz Bajan, a community driven platform for small businesses, explained that the C-Suite Challenge Competition component will be featured at each upcoming community expo, and will act as a launch pad for new businesses.

“This is for the aspiring entrepreneur, the student with a big dream, or the early-stage business owners looking to scale their businesses.

“The C-Suite Challenge Competition will give local creators the opportunity to step up and pitch their business ideas before a supportive panel of judges, to help turn those winning ideas into highly successful businesses and enterprises,” Ms. Holder outlined.

Winners of the C-Suite Challenge Competition will receive a $2,000 cash investment to kick start their visions, eligibility for a loan of up to $10,000 from the Barbados Trust Fund Limited, one full year of dedicated mentorship and business incubation, comprehensive assistance with business registration, marketing, branding, financial literacy, and complimentary exhibition space at future events of the BTFL.

WeBiz Bajan is a collaboration between the Trust Fund and the Office of the Supervisor of Insolvency. The C-Suite Challenge Competition reflects WeBiz Bajan’s broader mission of creating pathways for innovation, enterprise development, and economic empowerment. (PR/GIS)
