The Barbados Revenue Authority (BRA) has issued the Property Valuation Notices and the Land Tax bills for 2026–2027. Both documents, with an issue date of July 15, are available online via the Land Tax Portal (https://bill.bra.gov.bb), and property owners can expect physical bills via the post in coming days.
Senior Manager, Headquarters Services, Carolyn Williams-Gayle, highlighted the Authority’s continued focus on enhancing service delivery through secure digital services.
“The Land Tax Portal is designed to put convenience and control in the hands of property owners. Whether in Barbados or abroad, taxpayers can securely manage their land tax obligations without the need to visit a physical office,” she stated.
Mrs. Williams-Gayle encouraged taxpayers to take advantage of early payment discounts available for the 2026–2027 tax period. She noted that higher discounts apply, the earlier the payments are made, including extended benefits for online payments.
Property owners who wish to dispute their valuation can submit an objection online via the portal or download the form from the BRA website for submission via email or at a customer service location.
“We urge taxpayers to review their valuation notices and act early if clarification or adjustments may be required. Early engagement allows us to provide faster support,” Mrs. Williams-Gayle added.
Beyond payments, the Land Tax Portal offers a full suite of digital services, including access to real-time account balances and arrears; applications for Land Tax Clearance Certificates for fully paid property taxes; and electronic submission of rebate applications, including Agricultural, Hotel and Villa, and Pensioner categories. Pensioners who received a rebate in the previous billing period and remain eligible will automatically receive it on their current bill.
To access the Land Tax Portal, visit bra.gov.bb, go to the Pay menu and select Land Tax. First-time users will need to register using an email address and a previous Land Tax bill or receipt. Barbados residents will also require their TAMIS number.
Property owners should also note that arrears displayed on the Portal reflect real-time balances, while arrears shown on mailed bills represent amounts outstanding as at the issue date.
The BRA remains committed to delivering modern, efficient, and customer-focused services that support national development and strengthen voluntary compliance. (PR/GIS)
