St. Gabriel’s Students Receive Top Marks In BSSEE

Benjamin Luciene and Xiomara Lascaris, who both attend St. Gabriel’s Primary School, are the top students in this year’s Barbados Secondary Schools’ Entrance Examination (BSSEE), popularly known as the Common Entrance Examination.

Benjamin scored 95 in Mathematics and 99 in English. His overall score was 245.13, with a ‘B’ in Composition. He will be headed to Harrison College in September.

Xiomara is the top girl, with 95 in Mathematics and 98 in English. She received an overall score of 244.60 and a ‘B’ in Composition. That score will take her to Harrison College at the start of the new school year.

Peyton Garnes of Blackman and Gollop Primary topped the list of early sitters. He received an overall score of 244.60 ‘A’ and will be attending Harrison College come September

One thousand, four hundred and six boys and 1,358 girls sat this year’s examination. (PR/GIS)
