Entrepreneurs will again be in the spotlight when the Small Business Association (SBA) of Barbados hosts the 22nd edition of Small Business Week, from September 21 to 27.
Navigating Business in the Age of AI and Digital Trade is the theme of the week, which will begin with a church service at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, September 21, at the Mount of Praise Wesleyan Church, Tudor Bridge, St. Michael.
There will be an International Colloquium (Webinar) online on Tuesday, September 23, starting at 9:30 a.m. Persons interested in participating in the discussion should call the SBA at 228-0162, or email theoffice@sba.bb.
The XI Leo Leacock Memorial Lecture will be held on Wednesday, September 24, at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre (LESC), Two Mile Hill, St. Michael, beginning at 6:30 p.m. President of the College of Science, Technology and Applied Arts in Trinidad and Tobago, Dr. Keith Nurse, will deliver the lecture, which is entitled Preparing Business for the Age of Artificial Intelligence – A Discussion on Strategies and Solutions.
A Youth Forum will be held on Thursday, September 25, at LESC, commencing at 9:30 a.m. while an awards event will be held the following day, Friday, September 26.
Celebrations will climax on Saturday, September 27, with the We Gatherin’ Road Show – St. James, starting at 9:30 a.m. The SBA officials and their partners will travel throughout the parishes of St. Andrew and St. James and share vital information with small businesses. (PR/GIS)
