CANDIDATES FOR ST THOMAS AND ST GEORGE NORTH IN THE SPOTLIGHT

Today we bring you more candidates who are seeking to be elected for the constituencies of St. Thomas and St George North.

ST. THOMAS

Gregory Nicholls is an attorney-at-law, chartered arbitrator and adjunct university lecturer with experience in consitutional and publc service law. He has served as a Government Senator from 2003 to 2008 and again in 2022, more recently as Deputy Chairman of the Constitutional Reform Commission.

Beyond his legal profession he is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Caves of Barbados Ltd, Vice President of the Barbados Cricket Association and Chairman of the Arbitration Commission of the Barbados Olympic Association.

Dr Rolerick Hinds is a medical doctor, educator community leader. Educated at the Lodge School and the University of the West Indies holds a degree in Biology and Chemistry, Medicine and a Masters Degree in Public Health. Dr Hinds has served as Deputy Chairman of the Deighton Griffith School Board and Chairman of rhe Democratic Labour Party consitituency branch.

ST GEORGE NORTH

Toni Moore is a labour leader educator and parliamentarian. She is the first woman to serve as General Secretary of the Barbados Workers’ Union. First elected to represent St George North in 2020 and was re-elected in 2022.

David Walrond is an educator entrepreneur and community leader who taught at both the Garrison and St George Secondary schools. He owned and managed A-Class Printing for over 10 years.
