FORMER PRESIDENT JIMMY CARTER DIES

The peanut farmer who won the presidency in the wake of the Watergate scandal and Vietnam War, endured humbling defeat after one tumultuous term and then redefined life after the White House as a global humanitarian, has died at 100 years old. 

Jimmy Carter the 39th and longest living former President of the United States of America died yesterday,  Sunday December 29th at his Georgia home.

Tributes pour in from around the world as heads of government paid their respects of his family lauding his efforts to forge world peace, work to eradicate disease, advance civil and human rights, promote free and fair elections and house the homeless.
