Sunset Concerts at Frank Collymore Hall Resume

The Frank Collymore Hall recently held a Sunset Concert entitled The Journey was as its name suggest, a journey of operatic works. The concert which featured alumni from the Manhattan School of Music was a wonderful serving of talent which surely wet the appetite of the audience.

Barbadian bass-baritone Fernando Watts who has recently debuted in Weimar Germany opened the concert with ‘May Night’ by Johannes Brahms. Oregon born Eric Olson performed a Clara Schuman composition entitled ‘I Stood Darkly Dreaming’, he was followed by Barbadian Shantal Martin whose soprano voice totally captivated the audience. Kevin Lee who comes from Singapore rendered Harry Burleigh’s ‘Her eyes twin pools’ with superbly. Ross Macatangay, a 23-year-old baritone who is born and raised in New York where he was involved in the arts from an early age performed ‘Cancer’ by Tom Cipullo for his first piece. John Bryan, B.Sc., B. Mus provided piano accompaniment for all of the singers.

The talented expressions of the five artists was appreciated by the patrons who will surely be geared up for the next Frank Collymore Hall’s Sunset Concert.
