Town Hall Meeting On National Emblems, Symbols & Celebrations

Barbadians are encouraged to come out and share their views on the national emblems, symbols and celebrations that define the identity of Barbados during a national town hall meeting.

Hosted by the the National Emblems, Symbols and Celebrations Advisory Committee, the discussion under the theme: Be Heard – A Conversation on the Symbols of Barbados, takes place on Thursday, June 26, at the Queen’s Park, Steel Shed, Constitution Road, St. Michael, starting at 5:30 p.m.

The talk offers citizens the opportunity to help shape the various symbols, emblems and celebrations that tell the story of who we are as a people – and who we are becoming as a nation.

Additionally, the sessions form part of broader national dialogue on whether Barbados’ current emblems – including the flag, coat of arms, pledge, anthem, and other national markers – continue to reflect the values, culture, and aspirations of its people.
