The Longevity Shift To Support National Wellness Priorities

In support of national wellness priorities and ongoing efforts to reduce non- communicable diseases (NCD) risk, The Longevity Clinic has introduced The Longevity Shift, a six-month pilot initiative, which runs until June 2026.

This initiative is being carried out in partnership with TEN Habitat, with support from the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Third Sector.

The programme combines clinical lifestyle medicine with behavioural leadership and workplace wellness strategies. Guided by the Longevity Design framework and the Health Founder Method – an innovative, locally developed approach created by The Longevity Clinic and TEN Habitat – the initiative will test a structured model designed to help individuals and organisations more effectively address lifestyle-related health risks. Participants will be encouraged to apply entrepreneurial thinking to how they design and sustain their health outcomes.

Eight Barbadian adults will be selected to participate in a structured 12-week transformation programme beginning April 2026, which focuses on nutrition, movement, sleep optimisation, stress resilience, and mindset development. Participants will receive education, coaching, and biometric assessments aimed at supporting measurable lifestyle change. Participating organisations will receive training to implement practical workplace micro-initiatives aligned with preventative health objectives.

The Longevity Shift will document elements of the process and participants’ journeys while promoting public awareness around lifestyle-related NCD prevention.

Persons interested in being part of the pilot programme have until Wednesday, April 15, to apply. Onboarding is scheduled to begin on Thursday, April 30, 2026. (PR/GIS)
